The following is not an ADA Accessible location but will provide most VSPC services:

San Miguel County Courthouse

On Election Day, go to Fruen Building

Miramonte Building

333 West Colorado, Telluride

 

Note that the San Miguel County Courthouse is not ADA accessible and no electronic voting machine is available there.

When is the election?

November 5, 2019, though early voting begins Friday, October 21, 2019. 

 

If you return your ballot to one of the Voter Service and Polling Center locations, it must be received by 7:00pm on Election Day, Nov 5, 2019.  

 

If you return your ballot by mail, correct postage must be attached and you must mail it in sufficient time for it to be received at the Telluride, CO Post Office on Election Day. A postmark is not sufficient.

How does early and mail-in voting work?

Every active elector will receive a ballot in the mail.  

 

Persons who are listed as inactive on the voter list may activate their status and/or be mailed a ballot up to Oct 28, 2019 or visit a Voter Service and Polling Center (VSPC).  

 

Ballots may be returned by mail or dropped off in person to the Voting & Polling Centers starting Monday, Oct 21, 2019. 

 

At  each Voling & Polling Center, voters may also exchange their mail ballots to vote a paper ballot in person or vote on an electronic voting machine, as well as register to vote, change physical or mailing addresses, or obtain replacement ballots.  


Your Ballot Must be received by your local Voter Service and Polling Center or drop-off location by 7:00pm on election day (Nov 5, 2019) in order for your vote to be counted.  A postmark is not sufficient.

How can I register to vote?

To vote in State and County an most school and special district elections, a person must be a resident of the State at least 22 days before the election. 

 

A resident may move within the State and register to vote up to or on the day of election.  

 

Voting on Town of Telluride issues requires residence in the municipality for at least 22 days before the election, though registration up to or on Election Day is permitted.

 

If your Colorado Drivers License is current, you may register to vote at www.govotecolorado.com up to Monday, October 28, 2019 and still request a ballot by mail.  After that date you may still register online but you will need to go to a Voter Service and Polling Center (VSPC) to obtain a ballot.

What if I have questions about my eligibility?

In completing your mail ballot, you must read the Affidavit of Voter and sign on the Voter's Signature line on the back of the return envelope. 

When is the last day to request a replacement or original ballot?

You must make your request by Monday, Oct 28, 2019.  

 

A replacement or original ballot may be requested in person at one of the Voter Service and Polling Center during their hours of operation from Oct 21 through Election Day Nov 5, 2019.

 

A "YES" vote on any ballot issue is a vote in favor of changing current law or existing circumstances, and a "NO" vote on any ballot issue is a vote against changing current law or existing circumstances.

What if I am overseas this election season?

From the Colorado Secretary of State: 

 

Military and overseas electors may access their ballot online.

We also encourage you to verify and, if necessary, update your voter registration record to ensure that your county clerk and recorder has your most current information.
